ben's speech

Have you ever played computer games? I play computer games every day. They are really addictive and a lot of fun.
There are different types of computer games like action, educational, adventure, puzzle, arcade and many more. Just one click of a button and you’re on to it. You will love them like I do. If you’re feeling down you can just get onto your computer and play some games then you will be happy in ten seconds. There are educational games like math games, reading games and spelling games which can increase your knowledge. Computer games are not just about action adventure. There is learning included as well. Most of my ideas come from action and adventure games.
These computer games actually make you think a lot better. The action and the adventure make me feel like that’s me on the computer screen. I become a part of the game. You can use multiplayer games so you don’t have to play by yourself. I love playing multiplayer because I can play with people all around the world. I love online games because you can chat with people all around the world. One time my brother and I versed someone online. It was a fierce battle but I won. You can explore on different game levels. Sometimes you can get in vehicles and control the vehicle according to your command. My favourite online game is Sherwood where you take the life of a warrior in the year 1604 where you defeat monsters, spiders, skeletons and men as well. There is a game called Moon Base which is really fun. You travel into space on the moon’s rover and use your jetpack to fly around in space. You can fly to earth but it’s a bit smaller than the real one. My other favourite game is called Martian Club. You get the life of a human being. You have and olden day sports car. You get clothes and get all kinds of colours. You can make your own music and add a colourful disco mode. Another cool computer game which you have to download is called Prototype. It’s about a guy who was infected with the power to shape shift and glide in mid air. The humans are infected with the virus. The Military is against you. You can shape shift into people like the Military and hunters and a lot more. You can heal people or take their lives. My favourite game is On the Run. It is about an evil corporation who try to kill you because you know something that you’re not supposed to know. They will stop at nothing to get it out of your head. You can drive around and the evil corporation tries to destroy your car. Your mission is to get to safety and to get out. You would really like this game. It’s like an action packed car adventure computer game all in one. Now you might understand why I love computer games. It’s one of the best inventions of the 21st century. When I grow up I want to be a game technician.

monarch butterfly

Monarch butterflies are known for the incredible mass migration that brings millions of them to California and Mexico each winter. North American monarchs are the only butterflies that make such a massive journey—up to 3,000 miles (4,828 kilometers). The insects must begin this journey each fall ahead of cold weather, which will kill them if they tarry too long.Monarch butterflies begin life as eggs and hatch as larvae that eat their eggshells and, subsequently, the milkweed plants on which they were placed. (Monarchs are dependent on milkweed plants, which larvae eat nearly exclusively.)Fattening larvae become juicy, colorful caterpillars, then create a hard protective case around themselves as they enter the pupa stage. They emerge as beautifully colored, black-orange-and-white adults. The colorful pattern makes monarchs easy to identify—and that's the idea. The distinctive pattern warns predators that the insects are foul tasting and poisonous.Butterflies that emerge from chrysalides (pupa state) in late summer and early fall are different from those that do so during the longer days and warmer weather of summer. These monarchs are born to fly, and know because of the changing weather that they must prepare for their lengthy journey.Only monarchs born in late summer or early fall make the migration, and they make only one round trip. By the time next year's winter migration begins, several summer generations will have lived and died and it will be last year's migrators' great grandchildren that make the trip. Yet somehow these new generations know the way, and follow the same routes their ancestors took—sometimes even returning to the same tree. Many scientists are concerned about the eastern population of monarchs, which summer east of the Rocky Mountains. This group is occurring in ever smaller numbers, and its survival may be threatened by a series of natural disasters in the Mexican wintering grounds, as well as by reduced acreage of milkweed plants in their summer home.

what is your favourite mode of transport

I like travelling in cars but everytime we go far I get car sick. and I usually throw up. I like travelling in trains but the big problem is it takes too long. waiting for a train to come and it also takes a long time to reach your destinaton. travelling by ferry's is ok but sometimes I think I am going to fall In to the water and drown. Bikes are good but sometimes I thinka car is going to come and smash my bike. skateboarding is cool to travel by sometimes I think my wheels might fall off and I will break a bone. But my favourite transport is a plane because I dont get sick and because they serve food. planes have toilets and you can watch movies. thats my favourite mode transport.
